Professional standards
At the Association of Quadrivas Therapists (AQT), quality, clinical knowledge, and professional integrity are at the core of our practice. Only therapists who meet our strict professional standards are listed on this website. This ensures clients receive safe, competent care from qualified Quadrivas Therapists.
Therapist Recognition Criteria
Therapists listed on this site meet the following minimum requirements:
- Completion of formal training in Quadrivas Therapy through the Quadrivas Academy.
- A strong foundation in medical sciences—such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology—demonstrated by a recognised qualification (e.g. Medical Basic Knowledge under PLATO standards in the Netherlands, or an equivalent credential as required in the therapist’s country of practice).
- Ongoing professional development, including annual updates in Quadrivas Therapy and associated areas of medical knowledge.
- Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics: all members comply with our profession-specific standards for safe, respectful, and ethical practice.
- Registration under the Dutch Quality, Complaints and Disputes in Healthcare Act (Wet kwaliteit, klachten en geschillen zorg – Wkkgz), demonstrating compliance with health care legislation and complaint procedures. Or equivalent registration with a recognised health complaints authority or regulatory body, in accordance with national healthcare legislation and client dispute resolution procedures in the therapist’s country of practice.
- Professional indemnity insurance, offering protection for both clients and therapists.
- Manual treatment only: Quadrivas Therapy is delivered entirely by hand—no devices or machinery are used.
- Appropriate referral: each case is assessed individually, and therapists refer to other practitioners or services when needed.
Why some therapists may not be listed
A Quadrivas therapist not listed on this website does not meet the current professional standards set by AQT. This may be due to lapsed qualifications, failure to meet continuing education requirements, or incomplete registration. This public listing only includes therapists who fully comply with our standards.
